Arizona

Clay is a great medium to work with because it is very forgiving. If you mess up, you just squish it and start again!

In this lesson, we will learn a little bit about the great state of Arizona. Then, we will make a project related to the state. Feel free to adapt this lesson to make it work for you. It can be as easy or complex as you choose. Just read the facts and make the project or delve into the subject. Check out library books or do research online. Have your students see what other information they can find about Arizona. Make learning fun for your kids by incorporating this easy art project.

If you aren't sure how to work with clay, be sure to visit my Hub on "How to Use Real Clay." I will be posting more Pottery Road Trip lessons on Hubpages, or you can see what I've already posted at notyouraverageal.com.

Give the trout some dots. Otherwise, he won't know he's an Arizona trout.

Admire your finished fish. Dry him or cook him if you want so you can paint him.
