In this lesson, we will learn a little bit about the great state of Arizona. Then, we will make a project related to the state. Feel free to adapt this lesson to make it work for you. It can be as easy or complex as you choose. Just read the facts and make the project or delve into the subject. Check out library books or do research online. Have your students see what other information they can find about Arizona. Make learning fun for your kids by incorporating this easy art project.

For Arizona, we are going to make the Arizona Trout, also known as the Apache Trout.
First, make a very thick worm shape.
Next, shape one end to look pointy like a head.
Squeeze the other end to shape a tail.
Pinch the ends to make the tail shape.
Add a triangle to be the top fin.
Add two triangles to be the bottom fins.
Draw eyes and a smile. You want a happy fish, right?
Give the trout some dots. Otherwise, he won't know he's an Arizona trout.
Admire your finished fish. Dry him or cook him if you want so you can paint him.
